EMERGENZ Response is our action-oriented hub focused on emergency and disaster response. Think of it as the hands-on wing of EMERGENZ; we prepare for and support responses to crises like natural disasters, public health emergencies, and large-scale incidents. Our long-term vision is to build EMERGENZ Response into an operational relief service that can deploy teams and resources directly to disaster sites. In the meantime, our current focus is on empowering existing first response organizations with crucial resources, specialized equipment, and technological support to enhance their capabilities.

Key Initiatives

When a crisis hits, often the biggest challenges are logistics and resources: How do we get the right supplies to the right place? Where can we find that extra ambulance or shelter equipment when local stocks are depleted? EMERGENZ Response tackles those challenges through innovative programs.

Mass Care Logistics Support Program (MCLSP)

What You Need

This program addresses the critical supply shortages that many first response organizations face during surges (for example, the PPE shortages experienced during COVID-19). MCLSP invests in essential emergency supplies and equipment – from protective gear to medical supplies – and stages them in mobile storage units that can be rapidly deployed to hotspots. We’re developing smart AI-driven logistics to monitor data like disaster alerts and public health trends to predict where and when demand will spike. For instance, if wildfire smoke is creating hazardous air or if an outbreak is detected, our models can recommend deploying supplies like respirators, masks, or other needed gear to that region. When these caches aren’t active in an emergency, they don’t sit idle – we rotate the stock into training exercises and community preparedness workshops, so nothing goes to waste and responders can practice with the actual tools they’ll use in real events.

In major emergencies, having the right specialized vehicle or equipment on scene can save lives – be it a mass-casualty ambulance bus during a multi-victim incident, an all-terrain UTV for a wilderness search-and-rescue, or a mobile command center for coordinating disaster relief. Unfortunately, these specialized units are expensive and often out of reach for local agencies. SEAP is our solution: a fleet of specialized emergency vehicles and apparatus that EMERGENZ Response can provide to communities in need.

Skid Units

Flexible Emergency Response

At EMERGENZ, we recognize that the high costs of purchasing and maintaining traditional emergency vehicles can be prohibitive and unrealistic for mobilizing quickly. Moreover, during disasters, the ability to deploy versatile, functional equipment swiftly can make a significant difference. To address these challenges, we are seeking to build a stockpile of slide-in skid units that can transform standard pickup trucks into fully operational emergency response vehicles.

By integrating these versatile skid units into our emergency response strategy, EMERGENZ aims to enhance operational flexibility, reduce costs, and ensure that communities are better prepared to handle emergencies with the resources readily available.

Medical Rescue Skids

Skid units are designed to convert ATVs, UTVs, and pickup trucks into agile, off-road-capable medical transport platforms. These units are ideal for:

Off-road rescues in remote or rugged terrains.
Large event coverage, such as concerts or sports events.
Search and rescue operations where traditional ambulances cannot reach.

Each unit can accommodate a longboard, stokes basket, or wheeled ambulance cot, ensuring patients receive timely care even in challenging environments.

Wildland Firefighting Skids

For wildland and urban-wildland interface firefighting needs, skid units offer a cost-effective solution to equip pickup trucks for wildland and brush fire response. Features include:

Water tanks ranging from 125 to 300 gallons.
High-pressure pumps powered by reliable engines.
Foam systems for enhanced firefighting capabilities.
Stainless steel plumbing and aluminum diamond-plate construction for durability.

These skid units enable rapid deployment and are especially useful in areas where larger fire apparatus cannot operate effectively. Moreover, they can act as force multipliers enabling community-based response teams to assist career fire services in uncontrolled wild fire environments.
